The work
BWXT is hiring Nuclear Welders for their Mt Vernon shop. After multi-month certification, perform technical welding on nuclear components using manual, automatic, and robotic processes. Meet NAVSEA quality standards. Start on days for training then move to weekend 3x12s (Fri-Sun). High-spec nuclear fabrication work with strict QC.
What you need
High school diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years welding experience (or welding program cert in lieu). Proficiency in SMAW and GTAW preferred. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must complete company certification process. Nuclear or high-spec fabrication experience a plus.
