The work
BWXT NOG Jonesborough is hiring a CNC machinist for nuclear operations, posted as 2nd or 3rd shift. Run CNC and engine lathes, hold tight-tolerance parts, gauge with mics, indicators, and CMM, and keep lot traceability. 10-12 hour shifts, weekends as production needs. Starting rate posted at $23. US citizen, no dual citizenship. May need a DOE or DoD clearance. Respirator fit possible, so clean-shave rules can apply.
What you need
High school plus 4 years industrial machining, or associate degree plus 2 years. US citizen, no dual citizenship. Able to get and hold a DOE or DoD clearance. Any shift, OT, and weekends. Forklift or tow motor. Pass federal background investigation and drug test.
